Missions
The Grove Baptist Church
holds true to the vision set forth by Christ spoke in Acts 1:8, "but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Local, state, national, and even international missions are an integral part of our church.
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
Since starting in 1888, Lottie Moon—the namesake of Southern Baptists’ international missions offering—has become a legend. But in her time, Lottie was anything but an untouchable hero. In fact, she was like today's missionaries. She labored tirelessly so her people group could know Jesus.

GROVE MISSION PROJECTS

SHOEBOX MINISTRY
The Good Samaritan found in Luke 10:30-37, gives a clear picture of God’s desire for us to help those
in desperate need wherever we find them. After describing how the Samaritan rescued a
hurting man whom others had passed by, Jesus told His hearers, “Go and do likewise.”
By following the example of Christ by helping those in need we too go out proclaiming the hope
of the Gospel by serving and loving on those who are in need of both physical and spiritual attention.

The Amazing Journey of a Shoebox Gift or a Backpack begins with each of us, and results in Evangelism, Discipleship, and Multiplication. The Grove Family know, that we can impact more children around the world for eternity by collecting items for shoeboxes throughout the year. Some of the ways that we do this is, by having  Church wide rummage sales, collect and gather items to place inside the shoebox or backpacks, and have fundraisers throughout the year. In 2017 we will be taking our backpacks to the Navaho Indian reservation’s children and their families in Arizona.
